WPXR is the ION Television affiliate for Roanoke, Virginia. The station is owned by ION Media Networks, and operates on UHF channel 38, with a digital signal on channel 36.

Prior to being purchased by Paxson (now ION Media Networks), Roanoke's channel 38 was religious WEFC, which stood for Evangelical Foursquare Church, the previous owner. It is on channel 12 on COX cable Roanoke. And is on channel 11 on Comcast cable Lynchburg.
