WPXU-TV is one of two ION Television and MyNetworkTV affiliates for the Greenville/New Bern/Washington, North Carolina television market, licensed to nearby Jacksonville. The station is owned by ION Media Networks, and is a sister station to WEPX. WPXU-TV operates on UHF channel 35, with a digital signal on channel 34, and has operated since sometime in the 1990s. The station also broadcasts programming from Shop at Home during the overnight hours.

WPXU-TV and WEPX began showing MyNetworkTV on September 5, 2006, prior to this, the stations were solely affiliates of ION (then known as i and originally known as PAX TV).
