Sky Angel U.S. LLC. describes itself as a "Christian-owned and operated multi-channel television service specializing in Christian and family-friendly TV and radio programming.[1]" Although five of its 70 channels offer Roman Catholic content [2], the majority of Sky Angel's programming is from an evangelical, fundamentalist, conservative Protestant perspective.
The company's corporate headquarters is located in Naples, Florida.[1] Sky Angel has received a seal of approval by the Parents Television Council for providing "family-friendly television programming.[3]"
Sky Angel is received through a broadband Internet connection (Cable or DSL) and small set-top box. Commonly known as IPTV, the technology does not require an outside dish or antenna. Sky Angel is currently using NeuLion as its IPTV platform provider.[4]
The service is currently available in the 50 United States and some U.S. territories including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.[5] The company plans to expand globally.[5]
