How is this list maintained? I created Battle of Mbwila on July 25 and I don't see it on the list. Rmhermen 00:20, Jul 31, 2004 (UTC)

Actually I see it there now. My bad. Rmhermen 00:22, Jul 31, 2004 (UTC)
I look through Special:Newpages and add any battle articles I find. When I started I wasn't expecting to find so many... Geoff/Gsl 00:27, 31 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Should this page be moved back to Wikipedia:New articles (Battles)? I hadn't anticipated the move of WP:Battles to WP:Military history when I moved this page under the umbrella of WP:Battles but now "Military history" is a bit broad for the articles I list here. Geoff/Gsl 23:06, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

I really don't see a need to move it back—they are new articles under the project's umbrella, after all, and the fact that they are all battles just means we need more people updating it with the other types of articles (not that there are many). On the other hand, you're basically the maintainer of this page, so it's your call. Kirill Lokshin 23:10, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll leave it as is. Geoff/Gsl 23:24, 5 November 2005 (UTC)

Battle of Ebersberg. I've also seen it written Ebelsberg. Is either preferred? Rmt2m 04:07, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question

I am currently writing an article on Military Simulations (the professional type as opposed to Wargaming), and am unsure where it belongs category-wise. I would appreciate any pointers. The article is in draft on my user page here, and is very much a work in progress (lots of citations etc to add!). As this is my first article I'd also welcome some advice on how to move it into the encyclopedia proper when the time comes, as well as anything else re style/content that comes to mind!
Thanks very much! EyeSerene 21:05, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Page maintenance

A question regarding this list. Is this supposed to be updated by editors, i.e. once you tag an article for WPMILHIST, or if an article is a false positive, do we remove the article from this list?--Nobunaga24 05:30, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Well, the bot-updated list is full of false positives, but it's automatically generated, so fiddling with it by hand isn't going to really help anything. For the hand-built list, it seems to be a pretty haphazard sort of thing, but it's been used more for newly-created articles than for newly-tagged ones. Kirill Lokshin 11:25, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] King George 3

I added King George 3 as a featured article since it was a featured article. Meldshal42 00:26, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wilhelm Kube

I created this article on the German WW2 officer, but not sure what categories or stub tags this could use. Any help is appreciated. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 10:04, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Kaisenbun

[edit] Herman Bottcher

Last May I was invited to Powder Springs, Georgia to attend a Medal of Honor activity. WW II vet. William Walter Kouts asked me if I could find out about whatever became of a Herman Bottcher, his great friend and the bravest men that he had ever known and served with. This October, I was invited for lunch in Tempe, Arizona by another WW II vet. Bill Stroebel who wanted to thank me. I helped him find out how his brother died in WW II. During our conversations he also mentioned the name of Herman Bottcher. He also served with him and considered this Bottcher brave enough to deserve the Medal of Honor. Now, I knew that I had to find out about this guy and write about him in Wikipedia. Therefore, my friends I invite you all to read and enjoy the story which I wrote, about the amazing life of Herman Bottcher. Tony the Marine 21:11, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
