Is this person of German ancestry? Meursault2004 23:18, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

  • Possibly. There were some Germans (a few % of population?) living in Lithuania until 1940. I don't have any facts, though. Andris 23:28, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Yes, Vytautas' Landsbergis' ancestors were invited from Germany to Lithuania by Russian Tsar Alexander II to help prevent from another uprising (like it was in 1863). Baltic 17:38, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Title

Vytautas Landsbergis was not the President of Lithuania (there was not such a title until 1992), but the Chairman of the Council of Lithuania. -- Wisconsus TALK|things 14:12, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
