[edit] Powers
What are Uncle Sam's powers?
- According to the DC encyclopdiea "Superstrength, invulnerability; can change size; powers are proportionate to the country's faith in the ideals of liberty and freedom." Elijya 08:13, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Was he portrayed with all of those in Quality Comics, or not until DC took him over? Postdlf 18:02, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- The depictions of his powers does tend to vary. I'll add a section detailing the powers he's been demonstrating in the post infinite crisis continuity.Kittynboi 00:59, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] not sure
In an alternate DC universe appearing in Superman/Batman, Uncle Sam becomes Green Lantern when Wonder Woman gives him Abin Sur's ring, as Hal Jordan was dead in this reality and wasn't able to take the power ring. I'm not sure about the Alternate dc universe wasn't that an alternative future that was avioded??--T-man... ""worst vandal ever"" 05:12, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
- No, it was weird. People from an alternate future journied into the past and raised Batman and Superman to be overlords, thus creating an alternate present. Elijya 18:57, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I had the concept in mind but I expressed it wrong. wasn't that an alternative future that was avioded?? ment alternate present I only didn't think it through before writing. I and although I have it crystal clear in my mind now... My head still hurts. It's basically your Back to the Future II-villain-from-the-future-mess-with-past-therefore-alters-present plot. I got confused because of the term alternate DC Universe, which makes it look as if it were an Elseworld or an "Earth #". Maybe a currupted present, currupted present a la , currupted DC Universe present, or something like that.--T-man... ""worst vandal ever"" 03:45, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think just "alternate universe" sums it up fine. Elijya 19:07, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Nationalcomics3.png
Image:Nationalcomics3.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
