- Nice grammar! FWIW, on the question of basic word order: another linguist and I once acted out a transitive sentence in which one of us hit the other. The Tzeltal speaker accepted most orders (SV(O), OV(S), VOS; I don't recall whether SOV was acceptable), but did not accept VSO. My assumption was that SV(O) and OV(S) orders represented topicalization, and that VOS was basic. Mcswell 18:34, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
