Trontano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 120 km northeast of Turin and about 25 km northwest of Verbania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,684 and an area of 58.0 km².[1]
Trontano borders the following municipalities: Beura-Cardezza, Cossogno, Domodossola, Druogno, Malesco, Masera, Premosello-Chiovenda, Santa Maria Maggiore.
