Cossogno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 130 km northeast of Turin and about 20 km north of Verbania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 562 and an area of 40.1 km².[1]
The municipality of Cossogno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Cicogna and Ungiasca.
Cossogno borders the following municipalities: Cursolo-Orasso, Malesco, Miazzina, Premosello-Chiovenda, San Bernardino Verbano, Trontano, Verbania.
