Tommaso Rocchi (born 19 September 1977 in Venice) is an Italian football forward who is currently playing for S.S. Lazio in Italy. Although he is currently one of the most feared strikers in Italy, he is considered a late bloomer because the majority of his success came into fruition in Serie A and at the international level in his late 20s. He is one S.S. Lazio's star players and a vice-captain of team. He is an athletic striker with impeccable timing and a very accurate shot.
A youth team player at Juventus, he made his debut in the 1995 1996 season. After that he played in the lower leagues with Pro Patria (1996-1997), Fermana (1997), Saronno (1997-1998) and Como Calcio 1907 (1998-2000). In the next 4 years he played for Treviso in the Empoli. With Empoli he played in the Serie A in the 2002/2003 season and the 2003/2004 season (64 games and 16 goals), showing, above all in his second season, how much he had improved from his Juventus days.
He then joined Lazio in 2004, and proceeded to score 13 goals in 35 league games and 2 goals in 5 UEFA Cup games. Since then, he has continued to improve, averaging 15 goals a season, and wearing the captain's armband at Lazio.
Rocchi made his Italy national team debut against Croatia on 16 August 2006. He so far has 3 caps.
