Tj (digraph)

Tj is a digraph of the Latin Alphabet that appears in some languages.


It is found Norwegian in words like, "tjære". It is pronounced as the voiceless postalveolar affricate [tʃ].

In closely related Swedish, it is pronounced ɕ, as in "tjära" ['ɕæːɾa].
