[edit] Merry X-men!Dude, we celebrate Christmas, X-mass, Giftmas, Halloween, ANZAC Day. Any excuse for a party on this rock, as for the language, most Australians can speak an advanced level of drunken-slur. I can't blame you on the Cairns thing. Woolloomooloo has 6 o's. IMO, that's 5 o's too many. Why does it need 6? Why? Who would want to live there? The whole place is a joke. Thankyou Tijuana! Happy holidays to you too, and best wishes for the New year. Which Aus is already in because of time-zone shiz; what did you do? Cheers! Dfrg_msc 00:22, 1 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] Viktor HedmanThanks for the tip Tijuana. I never knew about this functionality. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:HAlpert - What Now.jpgThanks for uploading Image:HAlpert - What Now.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 17:32, 2 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] January 2008Hello User Tijuana Brass. Sorry if my recent edits have been disruptive. The thing is that, I'm fairly NEW to Wikipedia, And could use a few editing tips, Would you mind giving me some? Please undelete this. RMHED (talk) 16:31, 3 January 2008 (UTC) Hi -- please review Douglas Carver (chaplain) article to see if it meets your approval. Thanks. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/McDonald's urban legends (2nd nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. If you had been involved in the beginning, I would probably just have submitted the two revised articles as you indicated in your post. As it is, I'll probably just vacate Wikipedia after the way I was treated (by the others). I'm very frustrated right now and, who know, maybe it's the frustration talking. Would it be alright to blank the speedy deletion notices on my talk page? Thank you again, Lumturo (talk) 21:58, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The Fearrington House deletionHello - I notice that the article about The Fearrington House has been deleted for blatent advertising. I would like to request to edit this page to make it more objective so that it can be un-deleted. The Fearrington House is a very famous restaurant that has been in operation for nearly 30 years, and all information in that article can be verified in the sources listed in the posting. It is listed in the Wiki article about Destination Restaurants, and it would be nice if that mention could link to a page about the restaurant. The Inn at Little Washington has an article that has not been deleted, so I hope I can make the Fearrington article more similar to that one and maybe it will stick around. Thank you! Fearrington (talk) 14:36, 7 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] CopyvioSome parts of the intro were (that's the first thing I saw). You're an admin, so you obviously can still view it; the link to the copyvio is on my user talk page -- jj137 ♠ 22:16, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
The first whole paragraph also has word for word copying... why shouldn't this article be deleted? Ohmpandya (Talk) 22:28, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Localgod ClothingHey buddy. Can you plz do me a favor. I tried to categorize the page but the notification is still at the top of the page and the prior categorization still exists in front of mine. Please advise. Thanks! --Joshuakopel (talk) 08:00, 8 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] Palatability deletionPlease read the talk page before redirecting - the template said to read below. The request is to delete all those pages because the word is not closely related enough to toxin to warrant a redirect, as I'm sure you'll agree. If we aren't going to have an article on palatability, it should be deleted. Richard001 (talk) 03:41, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ralph G.H. SiuHi, just a heads-up that this article (which you deleted the other day) could potentially be recreated if sufficient evidence of notability can be found. My own view is that maybe it can. I may be wrong. --John (talk) 03:43, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi, again. As you may see there is presently a speedy deletion tag on Ralph Siu. May I ask you to remove it, since you are the one who deleted the article in the first place? I may understand your move at that time, but by now, if this deletion fuss continues about such a notable man, I will begin believing those who say that there is something so rotten in Wikipedia kingdom that it's not worth collaborating there! --Robert Daoust (talk) 22:25, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] SorrySorry for the disruptive vandel edits i had caused on Wikipedia. I have just added an informative story/plot summery to Disaster!: A Major Motion Picture Ride...Starring You!. I did not attendend the soft opening, But a freind of mine did, And told me about it. Just to make sure all the info in the summary is right, I was hoping you could take a look at it for me, Just to verify that me edits were'nt disruptive, In case my freinds' info was wrong. Thank You!--Universal Studios Number 1 Fan (talk) 20:53, 12 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] IRC cloak requestI am TijuanaBrass on freenode and I would like the cloak wikipedia/Tijuana-Brass. Thanks. --Tijuana Brass (talk) 23:14, 12 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] AccurentumWhile I agree with the deletion, the redirect wasn't actually based on a typo. It was based on the fictional use of element 118, which they called "Accurentum", in an episode of Star Trek before its discovery in real chemistry. Just wanted to let you know. - Revolving Bugbear 00:38, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Localgod ClothingHey man, thanks for the response. Basically, I want to get rid of the 2 messages from Wikipedia at the top of the article. I attempted to alter how it was categorized at the bottom but it just added my categories to what was already there. If you check out the top and the bottom of the Localgod page you'll see what I'm talking about. If you can tell me how to fix it or fix it for me that would be amazing. Thanks again for taking the time!!! --Joshuakopel (talk) 01:06, 14 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] Rick RoeberI have done some work since you last visited Rick Roeber and recommended for AFD. While a lot of the links to media notability were deleted by Grey Wanderer, it is still pretty clear that the guy has notability. The FOX News spot is TOTALLY about Roeber and not just a sidebar, and KC Star article is a lengthy article that appeared as the lead article in the Sunday Preview Magazine section. --yarkoski1012 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 17:06, 14 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] Deletion Danbury Local School District, OhioI don't know that it was best to delete the county name from the title, since the school district pages I am editing are all set up that way by the List of School districts in Ohio page. Also in some situations the county will need to be listed, such as their are two North Central Local School Districts one in Williams County, and one in Wayne County. --SteelRat02 (talk) 07:28, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] smashLAB AfDI think the notability of smashLAB stems from 1) their creation of Design Can Change, the only initiative of its kind and an internationally recognized project, and 2) ideasonideas, their widely read blog and highly regarded in their industry (see recognition) where graphic design luminaries have engaged in discussion. Both projects are non-profit. If it helps to use secondary sources are required I can use this: http://www.shared-vision.com/svvisionaries/intelligent-design or this: http://www.stepinsidedesign.com/STEP/Article/28804/0/page/8 If you have any more comments or recommendations, I'd certainly appreciate it. --Petiep (talk) 01:03, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Corton Football ClubI have been trying to make a wikipedia article about my local fan made football team Corton Football Club and the article has been repeatedly deleted. This has begun to irritate me as I have sufficiant copyright to the information and images provided. I have also read your wikipedia article policy and the page is not a just a personal page it provides information on lowestoft culture and the various activities that the townspeople like to participate in. If you would leave my article so I could include relevant information and show how it is linked to the lives of people in Lowestoft(A prominant town in Eastern England) please consider this request and reply to Firman08. [edit] Thanks!Someone vandalized my Userspace! [edit] Deleted PagesHi, I noticed that you are apart of Category:Wikipedia administrators who will provide copies of deleted articles and I was just wondering if you could provide me with the pages Tiraera and List of Riddims. Thanks heaps if you can get them for me! TeePee-20.7 (talk) 15:08, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
hi Tijuana , my contribution page http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rohingya_History has been deleted . How can i get it back ?? please help! [edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adult-child sex (2nd nomination)Please don't revert an AFD to remove someone elses input. I'm pretty sure that is against the spirit and letter of more than a couple of policies. Pharmboy (talk) 21:44, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry about the confusion. I didn't see that you were an admin (your 'tag' is placed differently than the majority of admins). My bitch was that I thought a regular EDITOR was removing comments, which I understand to be improper in an AFD under all but the most obvious and severe circumstances (vandalism). It would have been nice if it was more obvious you were an admin earlier, but I am assuming you understand the confusion and why I was complaining to begin with. Pharmboy (talk) 14:46, 20 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] section on WP:ANIHi I just opened a section on ANI about your recent block of VigilanceP for 'canvassing.' I just thought it fair to let you know as a courtesy. Merkinsmum 02:25, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] My RfA
[edit] As regards blocksWhat I mean is, the effect of blocking someone with whom you are engaged in an MfD, for whatever reason, is similar to that you advised Squeaky of, about the AfD in which he is involved. "given your involvement and personal interest in this AfD, it tends to provoke stronger responses than if third parties step in to deal with them." -plus it can seem wrong to block, given your involvement with the editor even if not with one of the pages involved. Not saying your block wasn't ok, but it would seem better if someone else did it. See what I mean? No offence at all meant or anything.:) Merkinsmum 15:28, 21 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] Good Faith and Fallout

[edit] coolcool!!!! --21mandy21 (talk) 00:27, 25 January 2008 (UTC) [edit] Deleted source referencesHey Tijuana! Since you self-identify as an admin who'll provide access to deleted material, would you mind providing access to the large source list Strichmann and I provided here (not quite sure where it might be now, whether in some deleted archive for the talkpage to Adult-older teen sex or to Adult-child sex, the link was working when I gave it here on 14:53, 19 January 2008 (UTC), thanks to the deletion that first link is broken now)? It was hard work even just getting that incredible amount of sources all down in a wikified version, so it would be great if you could help so we could move it to somewhere else. --TlatoSMD (talk) 20:46, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Opinion Valued: VP/D:SB
[edit] Martin Picard DeletionI wish to object to the deletion of the article on Canadian Chef Martin Picard. Martin Picard is probably the best known Canadian Chef outside of Canada. He was the only Canadian chef asked to be included in the book "My Last Supper: 50 Great Chefs and Their Final Meals / Portraits, Interviews, and Recipes" by Melanie Dunea which features profiles of Gordon Ramsay, Mario Batali, Anthony Bourdain and other food celebrities. He was featured in a 2004 article by Anthony Bourdain for Gourmet Magazine, and again in Bourdain's book "The Nasty Bits", and again on the Quebec episode in season two of Bourdain's televison show, No Reservation. He was featured in a December 3, 2007 article in the New Yorker "Red White and Bleu" by Bill Buford who characterized his restaurant Au Pied de Cochon in Montreal as "the most immoderate, unreservedly unhealthy eating establishment in North America." Au Pied sells more foie gras than any other restaurant in North America. Is this enough information on "the significance of the subject" for you? If not, I'm happy to provide more. - Richard Cianci Rcianci (talk) 05:46, 3 February 2008 (UTC) [edit] VrlikaSomebody's threatening edit wars at me, removing the Serbian again (without a good reason, nor consensus), and threatening to report me for 3RR because I have a history of reverting the article (see [6]), despite the fact that I was rvving an obvious, long-term vandal. Would you mind asking the user to back off and/or respect WP:CONS? --Cheeser1 (talk) 03:25, 5 February 2008 (UTC) Can you come back and give this some attention? Somebody's cut in with a few cheap-shots at me (apparently I'm over-emotional and I'm a bad debater?) and now I've got two Croatian editors tag-teaming the WP:BRD like they really want to beat it up and take its lunch money. PS please respond at Talk:NFL playoffs, 1974-75. If you're still really busy, I'll hit the ANI or ask another admin who's been involved with Vrlika. --Cheeser1 (talk) 15:48, 9 February 2008 (UTC) They are also canvassing for Croatians to come and edit-war and/or otherwise remove Serbian language from the article [7]. This is seriously nonNPOV, and they're accusing me of inappropriately asking you to step in, despite the fact that you were the administrator most involved in this issue only a month ago, when it was a vandal (instead of a group of angry Croatian editors) who were doing this. --Cheeser1 (talk) 02:11, 10 February 2008 (UTC) [edit] ATA CarnetThanks for the encouragement Tijuana Brass. It's nice to hear positive feedback on my first article edit. I'm going to do the United States Council for International Business next . Keep an eye out for that. I also want to do a bunch with Dumping (pricing policy). The current article is lacking. I posted a bunch of info in the discussion last week. I hope that someone can give me some guidance on whether or not that info is appropriate for the main article. If so I'll clean it up and add the rest of what I know and can reference. Thanks again. --95McCartney (talk) 04:48, 7 February 2008 (UTC) [edit] AfD nomination of Jay BrannanI have nominated Jay Brannan, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jay Brannan. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. [edit] TJBYour user name is perfect. Why? Just because I'm prejudiced. The Brass were among my favorite groups in the 60s. People think the only 60s acts of any note were the Beatles, the Stones, everyone who went to Woodstock, and maybe Frank Sinatra. But the Brass were huge in the 60s. And they still are, at least on my iPod. :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 01:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Dear palAfter so much time I've decided to come clean and tell you that me, the clean and reputable user Culverin was in fact user: Carbine and the smugface family. Since those tough times I have learn t to help rather then destroy, and to be helpful instead of a troll. Can you forgive me for my past acts brassy? Cheers bro. Culverin? 08:44, 25 February 2008 (UTC) [edit] Deleted House of Floyd pageTJB - love the name, and the group. A while back there was a dustup over articles related to Pink Floyd cover bands and one that I created was apparently deleted for lack of notability. Sometime in the next couple of months there will be an article about House of Floyd in Guitar World Magazine, which should/could provide the requisite notability required to keep the House of Floyd page. When that happens I'd prefer to work from the old wiki page, rather than redo thing from scratch. Any chance you can put this page soemewhere where I can get to it? |
