The Tanzanian cricket team is the team that represents the country of Tanzania in international cricket.

Cricket in Tanzania dates back to 1890, when the first known recorded games took place on the island of Zanzibar between the British Settlers and the British Navy. The first known game on the mainland took place in 1913. [1]
Tanzania gained membership of the ICC in 1966 as part of the combined East Africa team. [2] They then became part of the East and Central African cricket team, who became an ICC member in 1989. [3] Tanzania left that combination in 2001 when they became members of the ICC in their own right. [4]

After winning Division Two of the ICC World Cricket League Africa Region, Tanzania qualified for Division Three of the ICC World Cricket League. The tournament will be played in May/June in Cairns, and Tanzania will play Cayman Islands, Fiji, Hong Kong, Italy, Papua New Guinea and Uganda.
Players currently in the camp include team captain Hamis Abdalah, Kazim Nasser, Athuman Kakonzi, Meet Jetha, Issa Kikasi, Kassim Nassor, Khalil Rehemtullah, Hasnain Damji, Abhik Patwa and Hatim Kudrat.
Others are Hussein Shani, Benson Mwita, Abdulkadir Dossajee, Riziki Kiseto, Enjo Seth, Shaheed Dhanani, Bhavesh Govind and Rishen Patel.
Former Players include Osman, Abdur Mubarak, Ashwin Prabhakar, Imran Bhaloo, and Kishan Patel.
