Skeletonwitch is a thrash/black metal band from Athens, Ohio. They are currently signed to Prosthetic Records and touring nationally and in Europe summer 2008. They have spent some time touring with Job for a Cowboy and The Red Chord. They are considered part of the "thrash revival" era along with Warbringer, Evile, and Municipal Waste.
Skeletonwitch's vocals are charatcteristically in the death metal/black metal vein, with Chance Garnette performing both the guttural shouts and the higher pitched shrieks. These vocals are somewhat at odds with the mostly NWOBHM-influenced guitar riffs and solos.
Vocalist Chance Garnette and guitarist Nate Garnette are brothers.
