Moss was selected with the 44th overall pick in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft out of the University of Miami.
The Giants expected to groom Moss to be their number three, slot wide receiver in 2006 but his progress was marred by a recurring quadricep injury, which caused him to miss training camp and limited him to five receptions during his rookie season in six games.[1] In 2007 Moss played in 13 games, but suffered a hip injury and forced him to watch the Giants Super Bowl championship from the side-lines.[1]

After two relatively unproductive season with the Giants that produced only has caught 26 passes for 230 yards and no touchdowns, Moss vowed to improve in the 2008 campaign.[1] Moss is quick to note that the addition of 2008 Giants third round pick and fellow wide receiver Mario Manningham has not changed his approach this off-season and he is happy the Giants offense will have another weapon this season.[1]
