[edit] Vasileios Spanoulis Grammar Errors Cleanup On International Career Section
Sergiogr, I just wanted to tell you that I fixed the grammar on the Spanoulis page on the international career section. You may not know it but in English the proper grammar would be to capitalize ALL words associated with for example The Spanish National Basketball Team. They must all be capital even the, otherwise it is incorrect grammar. The does not need to be capital referring to a national team only, but if it is used to refer specifically to the team itself from say Spain or Greece then the proper English is it must be capitalized. In the cases it is being used it would be capital, otherwise it is grammatically incorrect.
Also, in the case of Greece's team you would use the word Greek not Greece as in English in this case Greek refers to the team's players and thus you use Greek to describe the players rather, than Greece, which is describing the country. If you use Greece instead of Greek then you have to write it as Greece's National Basketball Team, instead of just using Greece, either Greece's or Greek is correct, but just Greece is wrong.
I'm just trying to clean up the grammar there because it was terrible as it was. Thanks and keep up the good work. --Wiki Is Mine 15:07, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hijacked By Spanoulis Fans?
What the hell are you talking about? You are either an Olympiacos fan or just some crazy hater then. I read through that article and there is absolutely NOTHING that is biased. It's all factual and true and in fact has SEVERAL negative things about poor play, being BENCHED, etc. If you think that's written by a Spanoulis fan you are crazy. I am marking all the articles biased because we must keep everything balanced and proper. I will be marking all the Panathinaikos players biased as well. Because they are written in exact same manner.
In fact the Alvertis one is 10 times more "biased" than the Spanoulis one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.194.182.55 (talk) 17:50, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Sorry if you interpreted wrong
I was not trying to hijack I just believed that the Spanoulis article is written in same manner as the other PAO ones, other ones from some Greek national team members and such. Some Greek players like Galis, Papaloukas, Alvertis have exact same type writing in their articles for instance. Anyway, I'll go throug that Spanoulis article and try some fixes. Anyway, I think weshould eaither mark most these ones biased or not mark any of them because it's about the same. Just to keep everything standard for the Greek basketball players. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.194.182.55 (talk) 19:57, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ok well I removed the POV's on the other articles
I looked for some history on Spanoulis article like you said what his name means. It looks like it was added because in America people confuse the meaning of the name or how it transliterates. Even though it's Basil in English, in American slang form it would be William. So it seems it was put their to explain that in Greek form it actually should be Basil if it is correctly transliterated into English, even though in the US it would be "Billy".
I think it's just because he played in the US that these are explained it's for the American basketball fans that don't know these things, not for the Greek speaking fans like us. It would be the same way if Diamantidis or Papaloukas joined the NBA, things like what Dimitris means would be on their page probably. Because people in America would not understand it. It seems unnecessary to Greeks, but it's not to Americans. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.194.182.55 (talk) 20:12, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AS Veria
You have write current squad of this club. Could You tell me, why Maciej Bykowski is not in current squad? Has he gone away from club after relegation? I will be thankful for response here, in Your profile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.177.62.149 (talk) 19:40, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes he left the club after the team was relegated along with many other players. Sergiogr (talk) 20:51, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Euro 2008
Hi there. I changed the way the results are shown in the Euro 2008 article in order to match the 2006 FIFA World Cup article. The detailed match results for Euro 2008 can be seen on the individual group articles (Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D), so no info is lost. This seems to be becoming the accepted style for articles that have sub-articles for the group stage/knockout stage, so although I know you were acting in good faith, we should continue with this accepted style from now on. – PeeJay 08:07, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Why did you re-add this nonsense to the LeBron James article? Are you serious? ––Bender235 (talk) 12:25, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
