Scarperia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Florence in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 25 km northeast of Florence. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,273 and an area of 79.4 km².[1]
The municipality of Scarperia contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sant'Agata Mugello, Ponzalla, and Marcoiano.
Scarperia borders the following municipalities: Barberino di Mugello, Borgo San Lorenzo, Firenzuola, San Piero a Sieve.
