Lastra a Signa is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Florence in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 12 km west of Florence. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 18,531 and an area of 43.1 km².[1]

The municipality of Lastra a Signa contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Ponte a Signa, Porto di Mezzo, La Lisca, La Luna, Brucianesi, Malmantile, Ginestra Fiorentina, Marliano, Vigliano, and Carcheri.

Lastra a Signa borders the following municipalities: Carmignano, Montelupo Fiorentino, Montespertoli, Scandicci, Signa.
