Ricardo Gomes Raimundo, usually known as Ricardo Gomes or simply Ricardo (born on December 13, 1964 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a former footballer who played as a central defender for SL Benfica, among other clubs. He was captain of the Brazil national football team at the FIFA World Cup finals in 1990. After retiring, he became a coach and since 2007 has been manager of Monegasque club AS Monaco.
