[edit] 2008 Season

Redcar started their campaign with the traditional season opener - the Premier Trophy, drawing at home versus Newcastle and beat Sheffield for their first win of the season. At Scunthorpe, American Chris Kerr sustained a broken leg in the 45-45 draw and the injury will keep him out for a long period. The Bears lost away at Stoke, Newcastle and Sheffield to complete all the Premier Trophy away fixtures.

The Redcar Bears won their first Premier League meeting of the season away at Newport, 47-46, and this is their only league meeting to date.
