[edit] Welcome back!
Hey, I was wandering past Talk:A1 Grand Prix, and I saw your handle. Long story short, I was wondering, "where have I seen that before?" Ran across Radical Bender's talk page, and then it dawned on me, "Woah! Recury! Creator of Wikipedia:WikiProject NASCAR!" Once I realized that, I had to say: Welcome back, hope you'll stop by the WikiProject and see what you started, (and hopefully add even more to it), and please, join the A1 Grand Prix WikiProject, you're already to a great start! -slowpokeiv 02:25, 10 September 2005 (UTC)
- Cool, you guys have done an awesome job with the NASCAR WikiProject after I sort of abandoned it. I'll stop by the A1 GP one and see if I can help. Recury 19:52, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kwaidan
Hi! I just thought I should let you know that I am moving your article Kwaidan to Kwaidan (film), for disambiguation purposes, as well as the fact that k(w)aidan is essentially a generic word for a Japanese ghost story (or a Western story that draws on this genre) and can denote things like the story of Okiku and J-Horror like Ringu and Ju-on. You may thus wasnt to fix the link on your User page to reflect the fact that you wrote Kwaidan (film), not Kwaidan. Good editting! elvenscout742 15:08, 26 November 2005 (UTC)
- Works for me! Recury 19:52, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Idaho (band)
Thanks for adding Idaho to the list of bands named after places. I was surprised we didn't have an article for them, so I created a stub. They're a really good band, as I remember (though it was about ten years ago when I last heard them). dbtfztalk 19:35, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
- Cool, I couldn't really remember much about them except for the name or else I would have made the stub myself. Should there be a disambiguation page at Idaho (disambiguation) or are there not enough things called "Idaho" to warrant that? Or maybe just a link to Idaho (band) from Idaho? Recury 20:04, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Points-paying
It shouldn't be merged, because auto racing just doesn't work that way. Drivers are not given points per lap. They don't total up the scores at the end to determine a winner. You just can't compare it to golf, baseball, tennis, etc. They don't even refer to the points a driver has as his/her "score". It's just their points. So I just don't think it fits in with the scoring article. It isn't really "scoring" per se. --Woohookitty(meow) 01:18, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, but that's just too much of a stretch I think to put it all under one article. It's just apples and oranges. I mean, if you include that, then you should also include final standings of the other sports as "scoring". It isn't scoring. Just a different concept altogether. --Woohookitty(meow) 04:01, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Just not sure that's part of "scoring". I think standings should have it's own article, honestly. I don't think it's the same thing as a score. --Woohookitty(meow) 05:42, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- But you know, this isn't THAT big of a deal. :) There was a time when I would fight for this kind of stuff tooth and nail, but I avoid conflict at this point. So if you want to add some information in about it at scoring, I won't object though as I said, I prefer that we just write up an article on standings (or "tables" as Europeans call it) and include it there. --Woohookitty(meow) 08:04, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- Just not sure that's part of "scoring". I think standings should have it's own article, honestly. I don't think it's the same thing as a score. --Woohookitty(meow) 05:42, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] NASCAR article
I noticed the previous question asking about featured article status. How close is the NASCAR article to featured article status in your mind? It might be a nice opportunity for the WikiProject NASCAR members to work closely together on a project. I've never considered featured article status before (although I was a major contributor/writer of eight DYK articles). It might be a nice project for the off-season to help everyone get their NASCAR fix. Royalbroil 21:05, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for your recent diligent updates to the NASCAR-related categories, especially changing the USAR Hooters Pro Cup to a series category. It is appreciated. Royalbroil 14:32, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Erwin George Baker
How come you reverted my edit of removing him from the NASCAR drivers category? He was an Indy driver, and NASCAR's first commish (not a NASCAR driver) as the article states. Please cite a website that shows him as a driver if you can. Do you know of a different NASCAR category that he should be placed in instead? Royalbroil 19:56, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- I just noticed the NASCAR people category and added him to it. Great idea for a category.
- Also, would you please review the proposed standards for inclusion in WikiProject NASCAR and comment. Feel free to alter the page as you see fit. I agree that some of the points are ambiguous, but I can't come up with any better wording. Royalbroil 20:05, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
On a related topic, how about creating another sub-category to Category:NASCAR called "NASCAR terminology" or something like that. Many of the remaining items belong in a category like that (polish victory lap, template, hans device, etc). I think the category NASCAR should be quite empty. Royalbroil 20:41, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject NASCAR proposed standards
I think you should ask the WikiProject NASCAR members for their opinion with the AWB. They signed up for the WikiProject, so asking for their opinion shouldn't be bad. WikiProject policy should be based on more than my & D-Day's opinion. How does it work for us to get a consensus determination? Is that done by an admin who is removed from the project?
I signed up to be able to use an AWB a few days ago. D-Day recommended it. I wanna give it a try. I haven't been approved yet. Royalbroil 20:36, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- I was surprised when noticed that you haven't voted for the proposed new WikiProject NASCAR standards. Please voice your opinion. Royalbroil 14:41, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Board track racing
Actually I just got done moving the article from board track to board track racing (updating the links was my first and thusfar only AWB attempt). The article should parallel dirt track racing, as it was a surface. I think it should be a type of racing like dirt/asphalt track racing. Maybe the article needs somewhat of a rewrite. I'll look at it. I also somewhere found a reference to cinder track racing.
I'm far to young to be considered an expert, although nearly everyone that went to a board track has long since passed. All I know is what I found in reading websites and a few photos. I've been doing some articles on racers from the early 1900's, and the term kept coming up. There were also some images on wikipedia.
Please keep up your incredible job of keeping the auto racing categories in line!!! I still think there should be a category of NASCAR-specific terms, or do you think that makes the encyclopedia a dictionary?
I would love to help collaborate on making the NASCAR and/or NEXTEL Cup article into a featured article. I bet D-Day would too, as D-Day has aspirations of being an admin. I don't aspire to be an admin. Royalbroil 22:07, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

You can move "sprint car" to "sprint car racing". I had requested the change from sprint cars to sprint car as a simple capitalization fix. I was editing a spam link off of the Dirt track racing article. I looked over all the external links, and I think most links fail the WP:SPAM concept. I think the only links that should be kept are: 1) possibly Whowon.com, 2) the following Dirt track racing associations: DIRT, WoO, IMCA, MARS, World Karting Assocation, plus adding UMP, and 3) Tires - Hoosier, plus add a few such as McCreary/Goodyear/etc. I want a peer review before I do a mass deletion. [edit] List of photographers known for portraying males erotically
Sorry that I left you out of the loop before, but the only name that I found on the Prod was Kungfuadam who deleted it in less that four days and I had not even seen the proposal. I posted to his talk page and after several days when he did not reply, I posted it where I did not realizing that it was the incorrect place. I have responded on the AfD and consider the list very important. I am sensitive to the POV issues and I wouldn't care too much about the exact article title, it had just been changed once, and I don't care so much if it were category or list, but I do believe that there needs to be a grouping of historic photographers that photographed the male in a way that was not openly acceptable at the time. Many of these photographers were not known during their lifetime to have done this photography except to close friends. Much of it has been destroyed and many were socially known and were not free to disclose this work in their generation. This group of persons is important to keep together separate from any photographers who did similar work with female models which is much more prevalent. Your input on how best to archive this would be appreciated. Doc ♬ talk 19:12, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi. You think that "airplane" is "the most common term", do you? Yes... in North America it is. But it is certainly not common in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, or anywhere else in the English-speaking world. Last time I checked, there was only one English-language Wikipedia - which has to be shared between all the English speakers of the world (not just those in North America). Therefore compromise terms are necessary. I hope you understand this.

Hi, since you're a participant in the WP Project history of Photography, I thought uou might be interested in this discussion regarding the names of the WP Projects History of Photography and Photography. What do you think of Girolamo Savonarola's proposition? Pinkville 00:41, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NASCAR Article Editing
I know we've had our differences about this in the past, but you're new article hasn't gotten a lot of attention, and I can't seem to condense the information any better. I've proposed a method to split up the article here. I know you didn't like my ideas before, but there has been a lot of changes since then. I would like to hear your opinions. [edit] Sexuality of Emily Dickinson
Even though I am the user who published that article I only moved it there to a separate article because the entire main article was almost entirely only about Emily Dickinson's sexuality in spite of its complete lack of credible sources. What you see in the article is the POV content I was dealing with that so many users claimed was credible. In retrospect this may have been a bad idea. I hope if this article is kept or merged that someone will link it to credible sources.Cyberrex7891 01:44, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

The new article for Impact wrench is nominated for DYK, but it has little to no references. Do you have any references on the tool? Google brings up hundreds of sites to sell you the tool! The article is well written and would easily make DYK if it had references. Thx! Royalbroil T : C 04:11, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:ChesterJetsLogo.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:ChesterJetsLogo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Timothy Noah wrote an article at Slate.com about how his Wiki article had been nominated for deletion... when, in fact, it had not. He then went on a tear about Wikipedia's notability policies. - I don't think this really messes us up any. They should have been in the family categories in addition to some other NASCAR category (drivers, owners, etc.) If you know of specific articles that aren't in any, let me know and I can find a place for them. Recury 22:03, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mario Andretti
I am working with User:4u1e to develop the article for one of my racing idols Mario Andretti to "Good Article" status for WikiProject Motorsport. I hope to develop it to "Feature Article" some day. Would you critically review the article? Please give us feedback on the entire article, and in particular, areas that we have identified as weak: the introduction and the overall structure of the article (particularly the time in his life where he "racing in several series"). Let's use the talk page for the article for discussion. Thanks! Royalbroil 12:52, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:MassiveAttack-GroupFour.ogg
Thanks for uploading Image:MassiveAttack-GroupFour.ogg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 17:28, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:MassiveAttack-UnfinishedSympathy.ogg
I have tagged Image:MassiveAttack-UnfinishedSympathy.ogg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 17:29, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:NASCAR logo.png
Hello Recury, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. [edit] Apropos RSX
Why do you keep removing this information about RSX? Sorry, but it's kind of ridiculous.
You say "that kind of info goes in the article itself".
No, that's wrong. Just look at a few other disambiguation pages - ABA, Ala, Ale (disambiguation) ... need some more examples? When somebody looks up an acronym like this, it's without any doubt information that belongs here.
So why exactly did you remove the following:
RSX, acronym conceived by Dan Brevik (orig. meaning Real-Time System Executive, then Resource Sharing)
217.236.251.223 19:53, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- I wouldn't necessarily have a problem with you putting what it stands for, but putting what it stands for, what it used to stand for and who came up with the term is overkill. Read WP:DABMOS for info about style on disambiguation pages. You link to the article and you say what the subject of the article is. That's it. Recury 20:23, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, let's remove who came up with the term. Referring to operating systems, there are only those two meanings (as far as I know).
- And it's not only info for the RSX-11 article - the acronym was actually conceived for the forerunner RSX-15. Well, I had already added a quote telling this to the RSX-11 article. The first one I just tried - BMW, well then BMW (disambiguation) does NOT just "link and that's it". It says Bayerische ...
- 217.236.247.8 21:20, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- PS I still think though, it would be best to include this info in the RSX-11 line; you wouldn't mind, if some of this "a family of operating systems developed by Digital Equipment Corporation" was deleted?
-
-
- Well, this is really getting ridiculous; you turned these entries
- RSX-11, operating system family (orig. meaning Real-Time System Executive, then Resource Sharing Executive)
- Acura RSX, a sport compact/hatchback car made by Acura (i.e. Rally Sport eXperimental)
- into these entries
- RSX-11, a family of operating systems developed by Digital Equipment Corporation
- Acura RSX, a sport compact/hatchback car made by Acura
- and I bet you won't find many who think that was a smart change. The entries are NOT to long - and OTHER disambiguation pages say what acronyms stand for, too. Thus it's not very logical you don't change those, but act like a sentinel for the holy grail like RSX page.
- I don't want to waste more time in this ridiculous edit-war. I just hope you don't take a fancy in changing the German article with that info that I will enter in a second.

[edit] Racing videos
I uploaded a short video to the Figure 8 racing article to demonstrate the crossover in the center of the 8 in the unusual racing genre. Do you think that it would be helpful to upload a short (around 45 second) video of a recent late model race at notable racetracks to show what it is like to attend weekly races at the track? One is a green-white-checkered restart at Wisconsin International Raceway, and it follows the winner Kyle Busch. You can see the video on my youtube account here. Another video there is occasional Busch Series starter Lowell Bennett winning the 2007 Slinger Nationals at Slinger Super Speedway. Do videos like these help the reader understand the track better: using big words "Pertinence and encyclopedicity" (from WP:IMAGE)? Please respond here on your talk page. Royalbroil 09:05, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I can't watch your video because YouTube is blocked on this computer but I think in general a short video of a race at a track would be good for an article. The real question is about copyright. I know some tracks and series are really strict about this kind of thing, but the ones you mention would be OK I would think. If you have a program or a ticket stub from there, it probably talks about whether you need some kind of permission on there somewhere. Recury 13:19, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, so you agree that it is pertinent and encyclopedic. You can watch a sample video that I uploaded in the Figure 8 racing article - that's exactly what I'm talking about. You bring up a good point about the legality. Do you know where in Wikipedia I could ask about the legality - is there a place to ask legality questions? The ticket stubs have nothing on them - they are very generic. I will check out the track websites too. I could email the track asking for permission too. I talked with the owner of Wisconsin International Raceway when I helped the event sponsor with the national anthem in June, and he remembered me from doing the national anthem last year too. I have a contact who does marketing for a late model driver at Slinger Super Speedway who helps market the track too. Royalbroil 17:48, 25 July 2007 (UTC)

edit
WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter Dear Recury! You are receiving this newsletter because you have signed up as a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey. The purpose of this newsletter is to update on the goings on of the project, as there have been major changes, and a lot of new recognized content in the past few weeks. If you are an inactive user, you probably won't recognize the new and improved state of the WikiProject! From the project, Maxim. edit
New recognized content By Maxim
edit
Article Improvement By Maxim Upon some discussion on the WikiProject talk page, the Article Improvement Drive page was revamped by Krm500 and Maxim. It was renamed Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Article Improvement, and it includes two section. The first section is called articles in dire need of improvement. It list articles, usually important, that are in very poor shape. The second section is called requested help. Users list an article they request help improving a certain article, which will facilitate collaboration, which is the aim of any WikiProject. There is one article currently listed there, Henrik Lundqvist, here. The goal is to at least get it to Good article status. edit
Diacritics By Maxim In the past few weeks, there has been quite heated discussion about the use of diacritics in article name. The current guideline is using diacritics in the pages of articles of all player names which require them, but redirects are exempt. edit
Task forces By Maxim This task force was initiated by Krm500. Its current goal is to improve Henrik Lundqvist to Good or Featured article status. It covers all Swedish clubs, leagues and competitions and associated articles, players and coaches that are Swedish, or have played/coached for a Swedish club, and arenas in Sweden. They plan to eventually operate as a sort of a sub-project, which will have its own articles for creation, ranking importance and quality of articles, and co-ordinate article improvement. Its current members are Krm500, Bamsefar75, and CLAES. This task force was initiated by Bsroiaadn. Its goal is to improve New Jersey Devils to Featured Topic status. Although it currently meets the required article count, the task force wishes to improve it further. Its area of coverage is very similar to the Sweden Ice Hockey task force. Its members are Bsroiaadn, JHMM13, FutureNJGov, Sportskido8, Michael Greiner, JRWalko, and Soxrock. edit

edit
New recognized content By Maxim Especially due to the featured topic drive, there have been many new featured lists promoted concerning NHL awards. Here's the full list of all the 13 FL's promoted since the last newsletter.[1][2]
There have been no new good articles or featured articles. Maurice 'Rocket' Richard Trophy has been given A-Class status due to multiple issues raised at FLC.
edit
Did You Know? By Maxim
...that Wally Tatomir, head equipment manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, holds four patents on ice hockey-related equipment?
...that ice hockey player Mark Major attained 355 penalty minutes during the 1997-98 AHL season for the Portland Pirates, where he averaged 4.5 penalty minutes a game and still holds the club record?
...that Garth Butcher was a member of Canada's first-ever gold medal team at the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships before becoming a pest and setting team records for penalty minutes in the National Hockey League?
..that the AMP NHL Winter Classic is scheduled to be the first regular-season outdoor National Hockey League game in the United States? edit
Featured Topic Drive By Maxim Started by User:Scorpion0422, the aim of this drive is to make NHL awards a featured topic. A featured topic is basically a set of very high quality articles (good articles and featured articles/lists). In this case, the topic is NHL awards. Many users have helped, including Scorpion0422, Resolute, Serte, Hasek is the best, Maxim, Croat Canuck, Spike Wilbury, FutureNJGov, and T Rex/Dinosaur puppy. The progress has been very good; there are 12 featured lists promoted, and 2 good articles:
Check the project page if you are interested in helping out. Although it's closer to being done than not, there's still work to be done. The next topic that might be tackled is Stanley Cup, but this remains purely speculative and in discussion. |

[edit] Fart
Hello. I noticed that you've twice redirected Fart to Flatulence. There is no consensus for such a change and so your actions have twice been undone by different editors (the second one being me). I was going to inform you of the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fart but, on re-reading it, I see that you in fact participated. Your preferred option was not supported. Acting unilaterally in the way you have now done to implement the change you want when you have seen that it's not the consensus viewpoint is not terribly constructive, and it probably would be best not to carry on. Regards, BencherliteTalk 19:40, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- There is plenty of support on the talk page for a redirect. The deletion debate was about deletion, not redirecting. Recury 19:42, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

- (edit conflict) Can't say I see the support here or here, and there's no discussion since then, apart from at the AfD. Speaking of which, I note that you in fact commented in favour of redirection in that discussion, so it's a bit odd to say now "The deletion debate was about deletion, not redirecting." Your change has been undone by a third editor. If you want to try to get consensus for your redirect, discuss on the talk page please. BencherliteTalk 19:54, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- If you or any of the other editors would like to get WP:REDIRECT or WP:WINAD changed to support your position, you are welcome to try, but until then, Wikipedia is not a democracy and votes are not terribly helpful in cut-and-dry situations like this. Recury 20:00, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Due to consensus, as noted by Bencherlite, this is a cut and dry do not redirect. New and different consensus will be necessary, in my view for such a redirect to be appropriate. Furthermore, you have reverted 3 times in a 24 hour period on this issue. Please try another route. Kukini hablame aqui 20:03, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR report
As you've continued with your contested redirect, making the same edit 5 times in just over one hour, despite three different editors taking issue with you, I've reported this to the 3RR noticeboard at Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/3RR#User:Recury_reported_by_User:Bencherlite_.28Result:_.29. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:BrightonBearsLogo.png
Thank you for uploading Image:BrightonBearsLogo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 00:05, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Ice Hockey March 2008 Newsletter
|
edit
WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter Dear Recury! You are receiving as you are a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey There's been many more new things going on at WP:HOCKEY, and I think this will help you to stay informed. Since the last newsletter sent out in October, there have been many new changes. I'm hoping to make this newsletter a bit more regular; Kaiser matias and Skudrafan1 asked for a new issue a week ago, but sadly, I've been a bit lazy and committed to other things hence this other delay. --Maxim(talk) edit
New recognized content By Maxim
edit
Task forces By Maxim There was a new taskforce created within the WikiProject to deal with topics related to the Boston Bruins. It was originally founded as a separate WikiProject, but was quickly turned into a taskforce within WikiProject Ice Hockey. The list of participants is located here. Located at WP:BRUINS, the taskforce's goals are to make Boston Bruins and Bobby Orr featured articles. Good luck! edit
New Administrators By Maxim
A previously admin-only feature has been made available for all users. The rollback feature allows a user to quickly revert vandalism with one click. If you wish to have rollback, contact an active admin or post a request to WP:RFR. edit
Featured Topic Drive By Maxim The original featured topic drive, initiated by Scorpion0422, has concluded succesfully. National Hockey League awards is now a featured topic, with 24 articles in total. Of them, 20 are featured lists, one is a featured article, and the other three are trophy articles that were too short to become featured lists. Eight users signed up to help out, shown here. The next Featured Topic hasn't been decided upon, and the ideas and organization for it fell apart. If you have any ideas, don't hesitate to share them at WT:HOCKEY. edit

[edit] No content in Category:Young Hot Rod songs
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Young Hot Rod songs, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Young Hot Rod songs has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Young Hot Rod songs, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Winn-Dixie 250 Logo.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Winn-Dixie 250 Logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:21, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Football Manager Live Change
Hi,
Could you please explain to me why you have twice removed P.I.S.D. Ltd from the FML page? If it is in the wrong section please move it to where you think it should be. I would appreciate it if you discuss the issue before removing it again.
Just so you are aware I am one of the coders from this project so I know that it is fact and of interest to many people in the games industry. Knowing who was involved with a title really is of great interest.
Thanks

- I am not Recury, but I agree with his changes, so thought I would chip in with my own opinion (Hope you don't mind, Recury).
- I would suggest, first, that you have a read of our conflict of interest guidelines, as you are involved with the project. Note WP:INDISCRIMINATE, which states "[something] merely being true, or even verifiable, does not automatically make something suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia". While it may or may not be true that FML is made using PISD, it is not really important enough. On top of this, saying "see in-game credits" for an unreleased game is not sufficiently verifiable. I imagine the reason that a link to P.I.S.D remains in our article on Out of the Park Baseball is because there is a much better citation for that fact. I just don't feel it is at all important enough to mention in the articles on the Football Manager games. Dreaded Walrus t c 09:20, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
- I had guessed that you were an employee of them since all of your edits were about the company. If it really is of interest to people, someone not associated with the company will add the information themselves. There are other problems I have with the edit but it isn't really necessary to discuss that unless the information is added by someone who isn't advertising. Recury (talk) 13:51, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
I accept your reasoning as I can see your point on with the conflict of interest. This was not my intention. I simply wanted to make people aware of those unsung guys who put lots of effort into writing a game. As for someone else adding the information they need to know it first which sort of creates chicken and egg situation. Being of interest, thats a very personal thing, some people take great steps to known every thing about games/public figures and other just don't care. I believe the information has a place on that page, but concede I have to wait until someone else makes the link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amunra reborn (talk • contribs) 08:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
