[edit] Newcomer support

Thanks for helping User:Aktrez -- I'm at my office right now and couldn't help as much as I wanted to. I appreciate your stepping in, and I hope between the two of us she doesn't feel bitten, largely due to your saying the right thing at the right time. Much obliged!! [edit] Brand Asset Consulting

Why did you delete Brand Asset Consulting? It is only a link from Brand Asset Valuator and is not an advertisement. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ewiener (talkcontribs) 17:14, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I am not an admin and did not delete it. I did however flag it for "speedy deletion" due to it's overly promotional tone.Rob Banzai (talk) 17:24, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] World In Turmoil

Hi. I sympathize with what you're saying. In the old days, I would have tagged this article as an obvious CSD 7 candidate right away. Nowadays, I am much more cautious. I've been instructed several times by established admins to give new editors a chance to prove notability even if it's merely asserted on the main page. The idea is not to alienate potential contributors to the project. If they can't produce any evidence within a day or two, I agree with you: we should prod the article. If they contest that, we file a quick AfD. That's the procedure. Thanks, J Readings (talk) 15:19, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Sounds good. Thanks for the feedback.Rob Banzai (talk) 16:55, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your the man

Hi, I don't think this is the appropriate spot to say this, so you can feel free to take it down once you notice this being put here but: Anon Y. Mouse, you are THE MAN!!! I say this after reading the talk page for this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Banu_Nadir and you comment below:

You have to be more specific. What is left out? — BRIAN0918 • 2006-06-16 22:06 It's really important when taking issue with facts that you think are misrepresented or missing that you provide what you believe to be the accurate information. It's not enough to just say "most important facts" are missing. Wikipedia needs your help to fill in the blanks and correct inaccuracies, not just express an opinion on whether or not you approve of the article. Anon Y. Mouse 22:19, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
