Raphael Mazzucco or Rafael Mazzucco is a former professional football player and a Canadian fashion, art and music photographer who shoots in various countries around the world.[1] He is a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada who is based in New York.[2][3] Although his studio is in New York City, his home is in Montauk, New York.[1] His photographs have appeared on the cover of four consecutive Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues, including the 2006 and 2008 main cover images.[4] In addition to his cover shots, he is well known for his 2007 Swimsuit Issue handbra photo of Marisa Miller wearing only an iPod.[5] He was commissioned to shoot Victoria's Secret's coffee table book.[6] He is well-known for his recent Guess campaigns.[1]

He is known for starting his photo sessions with very tight shots from up-close to his subjects faces.[7] Although the handbra has been a popular part of the swimsuit issue for several years, Mazzucco was the first to achieve a handbra Swimsuit Issue cover photo with his eight-woman handbra 2006 shot. He is married to Lisa-Marie Mazzucco and has a son named Sascha.[1] He photographed Megan Ewing twice a year when she was a Guess Girl.[1]d

His photographs have been featured in a few widely published books: Sports Illustrated: Exposure (ISBN 9781933405858, 2006, Time, Incorporated Home Entertainment)[8] and A Second Decade of Guess Images: 1991-2001 (ISBN 9780963672810, 2003, Gingko Press, Incorporated).[9] The Sports Illustrated book is a derivative work from his 2006 Swimsuit Issue photo session.

His career started with work for Calvin Klein and as a music photographer. He then lived in Milan, Italy for three years while continuing photography but emphasizing more fashion than music.[1]
