Michelle Alves (born September 10, 1980) is a Brazilian supermodel.

She was born in Londrina, Parana, Brazil, as the daughter of a lawyer (mother) and an engineer (father). Alves was a top student in civil engineering at Brazil's Londrina State University prior to moving to São Paulo, where she pursued modeling. She is an avid reader and self-described "nerd". She is also a polyglot, fluent in Portuguese, Italian, French and English.

Known for her impeccable and curvaceous body, she was featured in the 2003 and 2005 editions of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, appeared in two editions of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and was also featured on their catalogs and their book cellebrating the companie's 10th anniversary, entitled "Sexy".

Michelle reached the top of her career and signed contracts with Valentino, Christian Dior, Escada, Ralph Lauren, Missoni, Miss Sixty, Michael Kors, GAP, Emporio Armani, Michael Kors Swimwear, AKRIS and holds a major deal with Yves Saint Laurent for the campaign of their fragrance Cinéma.

In her résumé are names of acclaimed photographers such as Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchellier, Bruce Weber, Gilles Bensimon, Mario Sorrenti, Nick Knight, Steven Klein, Phil poynter, Walter Chin, Inez Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin and also the legendary Richard Avedon.

The top model was featured on more then 100 covers of major fashion magazines such as Italian, french, Spanish, Brazilian, portuguese, Australian and German editions of Vogue and Elle magazine; and also editions of Marie Claire, French Magazine, Esquire, L'Officiel, Harper's Bazaar, Amica and Glamour from many different countries.

Michelle Alves is currently living in Los Angeles (USA), where she is constantly seen in and out of the major red carpets, such as the Academy Awards (Oscars), Vanity Fair parties and all major movie premieres.
