[edit] Route description

PA 924 begins at a junction with PA Route 61 in Frackville as North Lehigh Avenue. The highway exits the borough, running northwest as the Gold Star Highway, traversing the Mahantango Mountains. In the Shenandoah-Brandonville area, PA 924 intersects Pennsylvania Route 54 and Pennsylvania Route 339.

Between the Shenandoah-Brandonville area and Interstate 81, PA 924 is known as Main Boulevard, Center Street, and Ringtown Road. Outside of Hazleton, PA 924 interchanges Interstae 81, at exit 143. The route runs eastward into the city as Diamond Avenue. In downtown Hazleton, PA 924 turns north to begin a short overlap with Broad Street (PA 93).

In West Hazleton, PA 924 leaves PA 93, and becomes West 15th Street before terminating at Pennsylvania Route 309.
