Pennsylvania Route 118 is a 42-mile-long state route located in northeastern Pennsylvania. The western terminus of the route is at PA 405 in Hughesville. The eastern terminus is at PA 415 in Dallas.
The road is known briefly as East Water Street from its western terminus to its intersection with 6th Street in Hughesville, where it becomes Lairdsville Road for 12 miles until crossing PA 42 near Unityville. It joins PA 487 for one mile in Red Rock.
The route consists of one lane in each direction, except for some short segments with a passing lane in one direction.
PA 118 may serve as a more direct backroad between the Williamsport area and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area. Along with US 220, PA 415, and PA 309, it can save drivers up to 23 miles between I-180 and I-81, adding only about three minutes.[2]
