Păsăreni or Backamadaras (Romanian: Păsăreni; Hungarian: Backamadaras) is a commune in Mureş County, Romania comprising of 3 villages:
- Bolintineni/Nyárádbálintfalva
- Gălăţen/Szentgerice
- Păsăreni/Backamadaras

The commune has an absolute Székely Hungarian majority. According to the 2002 Census it has a population of 1,920 of which 84.27% or 1,618 are Hungarian.
