Gorneşti or Gernyeszeg (Romanian: Gorneşti; Hungarian: Gernyeszeg) is a commune in Mureş County, Romania comprising of 9 villages:

The commune has an absolute Székely Hungarian majority. According to the 2002 Census it has a population of 5,885 of which 75.4% or 4,437 are Hungarian.
