Original 106.5fm is a radio station that broadcasts to Bristol. It was awarded its broadcast licence by Ofcom in September 2006, and commenced broadcasting May 20, 2007. It is 95% owned by CanWest MediaWorks UK Limited (a subsidiary of CanWest Global Communications), and 5% owned by Seven Broadcast Limited. The station broadcasts an Adult Oriented format, with 40% of its music coming from past or present Top 20 charts. Presenters include Jed Pitman (breakfast) and David Francis (drive).

Original 106.5 plays a mix of hit singles from a full range of adult orientated genres including rock, pop, soul from the 60s to today.

Original 106.5 broadcast regular round-the-clock news bulletins from their studios in Bristol. Head of news - Mel Edmonds is supported by Broadcast journalists Charles Rowe, Roz Hutchings, Claire Stanley and freelance sports journalist, Richard Latham.

Original 106.5 reported its first audience figures in January 2008 for the period September - December 2007, they showed that the station has a 2% weekly reach (around 11,000 listeners) and 0.5% Audience Share (around 5.9 hours per listener per week) - Figures are similar to its sister station in the Solent.
