The only easy way to copy images from one wikipedia to the commons is to manually copy it from the German wikipedia to Hard-disk and hard-disk to commons and retain the permission statement as given. This looks to me like spam, and I usually just revert such questionable links and move on. Hi Robert, no real policy against external image links. Just that a lot of additions tend to be personal photography promotion and many by folks who are not careful to identify or note important aspects like location. So usually tend to leave links out unless it really adds value.

I have fine memories of Ireland. The French portal is indeed quite well done. Do you use the French National Library site? [4] It was a wealth of early entomology volumes in pdf for rapid downloading. Kirby, for example, is on tap with the French and not on any UK site. I was also able to get the first copy of the 13th edition of Syst. Nat. ever to reach Brazil (and this is the volume that described many spp. from NW Brazil). - Nope, none of the landscapes are Parnassius country, at least not in summer. I was below 3000m and I think the alpine zone starts at 4500m. But right now the alpine zone is overrun by the locals as they hunt for caterpillar gold - Vegetable caterpillar - Cordyceps - A kilogram fetches nearly INR 400,000 - a little below USD 10,000. We are still trying to undo what this man did to neotropical butterfly taxonomy. By the way, André Freitas just sent me a pdf of a new paper by Lamas with butterfly higher classification, letting the cat out of the bag as to what he, Häuser, de Jong, Nielsen, Pelham, Robbins, Smith, Wahlberg and Vane-Wright are going to propose later on this year. The paper is in quite simple Spanish, and the tables are all Latinate names we know and use every day. WP's email, as I understand it, does not permit attachments. Is there another way I could send this to you? I also have Lamas' bibliography of neotropical butterflies in Word (sure beats re-typing these refs all the time). I see you've added a wonderful number of entomologists. In several of them you've added a stub banner which has a nice picture but doesn't enable them to show up in categories as stub articles. Do you have any objections to replacing your stub banner with the standard stub template for entomologists?
