[edit] Comparison to San Diego Comic-Con
I removed the following passage:
- "Noted columnist Rich Johnston favorably compared the convention to San Diego Comic-Con.[1]"
...because in the source cited, Johnston does NOT favorably compare it to the SDCC. He merely reports the upcoming NYCC, and mentions in tongue-in-cheek fashion how they're trying to disolodge SDCC as the center of geekdom. That is not a "favorable comparison". It also be noted that in the same piece, Johnston mentions how he'll be on a panel at the NYCC with C.B. Cebulski, Keith Giffen, and Colleen Doran, so even if it did make such a comparison, it wouldn't have been from the point of greatest objectivity. Nightscream (talk) 17:39, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Article fails to define anything
I just read the article, and nowhere does it say what exactly "Comic Con" is. It refers to it as "a convention." Even though it has the word "comic" in the title, it's my understanding that the convention doesn't just feature comics....but whatever it is, it should be defined in the first sentence or two at the very least.—DMCer™ 00:15, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
