New York Comic Con
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The New York Comic Con is a convention held annually in New York City. The first event was held in 2006 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Organizers stated the attendance was far more than anticipated (with the convention floor even being shut down and exhibitor's and convention goers locked out at one point) and that they were arranging to have sufficient space for the 2007 show.[1]
The second annual show was held February 23-25, 2007. While lines were long, the show did not suffer the same problems of the previous year's outing, as the convention organizer was noticeably better prepared and had more than double the space available.[2]
The 2008 show was held April 18-20.[3]
The New York Comic Con is in no way associated with the long running San Diego show Comic-Con.
