Muttama is a rural community in the central east part of the Riverina. It is situated by road, about 13 kilometres south from Brawlin and 17 kilometres north from Coolac. It has a population within a 7 kilometre radius of approximately 320 people.[1]
The name Muttama is derived from the local Aboriginal word meaning "like it" or "take it".[2]
