Hanwood is a town in the central Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. The town is located 5 kilometres south of Griffith, New South Wales and is in the City of Griffith Local Government Area. At the 2006 census, Hanwood had a population of 583.[1]
Hanwood is known for its wineries, in particular the McWilliam's winery, established in 1913.
The winery is home to the famous bottle shaped tasting room. They have a wide array of wines, bottles and memoribllia displayed in the 17 metre long museum in the shape of a bottle and are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.[2]
