2 Darling Downs MLA Ray Hopper was elected as an independent member, but joined the National Party on December 21, 2001.
3 Gympie MLA Elisa Roberts was elected as a One Nation member, but resigned from the party on April 18, 2002, and served out the remainder of her term as an independent.
4 Maryborough independent MLA John Kingston resigned on March 24, 2003. Independent candidate Chris Foley won the resulting by-election on April 26.
