Krasnoznamensk (Russian: Краснозна́менск) is a closed town in Moscow Oblast, Russia, known until 1994 as Golitsyno-2. Population: 100,500(2007year) Town status was granted to it in 1981.
Town hosts a reserve Russian Mission Control Center and a Primary Mission Control Center for Military Satellites (comp. US Joint Functional Component Command for Space and Global Strike), which is reflected in its Coat of Arms.
