[edit] KIND Kitchen

A tag has been placed on KIND Kitchen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of KIND Kitchen and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 21:47, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] What is a Traveling Community Kitchen

A traveling community kitchen does not differ widely from a community kitchen other than it has no set "home base".

Community Kitchen
A community kitchen is an publicly accessible environment where anyone can cook meals for themselves and/or their families. Community kitchens will often have a small access or membership fee, and can have kitchen groups where people meet regularly to cook meals together. They are often used to stretch people’s dollars, but they also function as a community gathering point. In some cases, community kitchens are also used to train those in need in the culinary arts, so that those who were once hungry can become professional chefs, and feed their family well. There are a number of community kitchens in towns and cities across Ontario. OAFB

[edit] Question

Since your organization doesn't appear to meet the notability guidelines, we don't need an article about it. Even if your organization did meet the guidelines, it wouldn't be appropriate for you to write about it; the conflict of interest guidelines ask all of us not to write about ourselves or our organizations. Now that you know that you won't be able to write an article about your organization, do you still want a new account? What kinds of useful edits do you see yourself making in the future? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 03:26, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
