KATZ (1600 AM) is an Urban Gospel radio station serving the area of St. Louis, Missouri. The Citicasters[1][2] outlet broadcasts with power level of 5 kW.[2]

KATZ began broadcasting in the late 1950s as an Rhythm and blues/Soul music station. This function was transferred to KATZ-FM in the 1980s. KATZ-FM is today a Hip Hop/R&B station, while KATZ-AM is a gospel music outlet.
