Emerald Ridge High School is a high school in the Puyallup School District of Washington, United States and is commonly referred to as ERHS or simply ER. Emerald Ridge features green, black and silver as its primary colors and has a jaguar (named Jake) as its official mascot. The enrollment is currently just below 1,500.[1] Academically, between the four comprehensive high schools in the district, Emerald Ridge ranks first in test scores on the WASL. In the 2005-2006 school year, 10th graders showed 89% competency in Reading, 58.1% in Math, 91.1% in Writing and 32% in Science.[2]

Commencement, or graduation, is held every year at the Puyallup Fairgrounds. Due to the size of each graduating class and their audience, the ceremony cannot be held anywhere on school grounds. .

- Megan Quann, swimmer, a double Olympic Gold medalist from the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and author of Get Wet, Get Fit.
- Tommy Snider, actor, co-host of the television show Fridays on Cartoon Network
- Nathan Jendrick, author of Dunks, Doubles, Doping: How Steroids Are Killing American Athletics, Get Wet, Get Fit and the upcoming BALCO: The Straight Dope On Barry Bonds, Marion Jones and What We Can Do To Save Sports. Married to Olympic swimmer Megan Jendrick (Quann), and is now the boys swimming coach at ERHS.
