Easton (grid reference ST512477) is a small village in Somerset, 2 miles north west of Wells. It is on the A371 between Westbury-sub-Mendip and Wells.
Easton is believed to mean 'The enclosure by the water' from the Old English eas and tun.[1]
Nearby are the Ebbor Gorge Site of Special Scientific Interest and Wookey Hole.
The church of St Paul by Richard Carver, dates from 1843. It is a grade II listed building.[2]
