Camenca sub-district, Transnistria

Camenca sub-district is an administrative sub-region of Transnistria. Its seat is the city of Camenca (Russian: Каменка (Kamenka), Ukrainian: Kamianka, Polish: Kamionka). The district also contains 12 communes: Caterinovca, Crasnâi Octeabri, Cuzmin, Hristovaia, Hruşca, Ocniţa, Podoima, Raşcov, Rotari, Severinovca, Slobozia-Raşcov, and Valea Adâncă.

It is home to the Dniester Sanatorium which is the oldest health resort in Transnistria.

Camenca is located at 48°0′N, 28°43′E, on the Dnestr, in the North of Transnistria. In 1989 the capital had a population of 13,700.

In 2001, election officials for the Transnitrian presidential election announced that sitting president Igor Smirnov received 103.6 percent of the vote in this region.
