[edit] Clean-up listing

Thank you very much for the listing of pages needing cleanup at WikiProject Equine. This list will be a great help in our work to improve the equine articles in WP. A quick question - This listing doesn't seem to be a bot-generated page, so is it all right to edit the page as we go along (striking out or removing articles as we improve them, etc), or will this mess up your program? Thank you! Dana boomer (talk) 20:52, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

  • You're welcome! The list has been generated automatically, but at the moment it is not updated on a regular basis. So feel free to make any changes you wish. However, when a data update becomes available later (maybe in two months from now) and you want the WPEQ listing to be updated, all manual changes would be overwritten. --B. Regarding the deletion of the Henye Meyer entry (which appears to have taken place), I just wanted to say that I was surprised to find it and also thought it was inappropriate -- and I am the person in question. I have no idea who inserted it and suspect the rather feeble publisher of my third book. Thank you for suggesting removal of the article, since until now I didn't know how. I hope this is the appropriate way to comment. Please accept my apologies if it isn't.Mrs HM (talk) 23:47, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Forgotten Realms project: Articles of unclear notability

Regarding your comments on the Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Forgotten_Realms page, the vast majority of articles are present at the Forgotten Realms Wiki and the WikiProject Forgotten Realms seems pretty dead (probably because all the articles keep getting deleted). What would be nice is if some way can be found to link people from Wikipedia to the Forgotten Realms Wiki for articles which do not meet the notability criteria. What tends to happen right now is that Wikipedia editors simply remove any links to the Forgotten Realms Wiki as "spam" and people searching for a Forgotten Realms topic at Wikipedia meet with a poor quality article facing deletion, or nothing at all. Please respond on my Forgotten Realms Wiki talk page because I visit Wikipedia relatively infrequently. Fw190a8 (talk) 16:14, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for taking the time to thoroughly assess the situation and reply on my talk page. Your proposed solution is rational and sensible, but it still leaves me slightly concerned that someone searching Wikipedia for a Forgotten Realms term will end up with a "page not found" instead of an appropriate redirect. This is probably one of the main sources of the controversy over notability I suppose. I would appreciate very much if you would put forward the proposal you suggested on my talk page. I am hesitant to do this myself because of the hostility I have received in the past on Wikipedia; I am simply put off the idea of any significant form of editing on this wiki. Thank you for creating Wikipedia:WikiProject_Forgotten_Realms/Closure. It is well-written and I hope it serves the purpose for which it was created. Those of us over at the Forgotten Realms Wiki are endebted to you. Fw190a8 (talk) 22:17, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup listings

You're right, I hadn't announced the listings, unfortunately. I am going through the Christianity project myself to add them all to the project's todo list, but it is taking a lot longer than I expected, unfortunately. Thanks for the reminder. John Carter (talk) 15:40, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yaesu AfD

Thanks for the notice about the AfD of Yaesu VX-150. I'll wait a bit before posting. When I remove a deletion proposal, it's because I think it's controversial, so I like to see if the community agrees. But I'll probably chime in sooner or later. Appreciate the notice.
