In cases of international co-productions, films with an Austrian studio as major producer (which means that foreign film studios are engaged as minor co-producer) are remarked with maj. in parentheses and films with an Austrian studio as minor production partner (which means that the majoritarian producing film studio is a foreign one) are remarked with min. in parentheses in the "notes" column.

The dates mentioned in parentheses are the dates of film start in Austrian cinemas.

In 2004, 24 Austrian films were produced (solely or majoritarian Austrian) and started in the cinemas. 16 of them were feature films, 8 were documentary films. Further 8 films were produced with an Austrian studio as minor coproduction partner (7 of them feature films) – for example Michael Hanekes Wolfzeit, which is an majoritarian french production.[1] [2]

In 2005, 24 Austrian films were produced (solely or majoritarian Austrian) and started in the cinemas. 15 of them were documentary films, 9 were feature films. Further six films (3 documentary films, 3 feature films) were produced with an Austrian film studio as minor coproduction partner – for example the awarded documentary Darwin's Nightmare, which is a majoritarian french production with an Austrian studio as minor production partner.[3] [2]

In 2006, 34 Austrian films (including the feature film Snow White, which is not mentioned in the Austrian Film Report) were produced and started in the cinemas. All of them were solely or majoritarian Austrian productions. 17 of them were documentariy films and 16 were feature films.[4] [2]
