Coordinates: Ashok Nagar is a residential locality situated at southern part of Chennai, India. It was established in 1964. At the heart of this colony, stands the Ashoka Pillar. This four lion head stump, resembles the one erected by king Ashoka during the 3rd Century BC at Sanchi.

Ashok Nagar located West of Mambalam (T.Nagar), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is around the mid-point of the city and to the west. Hence most parts of Central and South Chennai are easily accessible from here. You can reach Mount Road through the Kodambakkam High Road (Gemini intersection), Aranganathan subway (North Usman Road intersection) or Kathipara junction. Also, through West Mambalam one could pass through Duraisami Subway, take Venkatnarayana Road and reach Mount road. The Madley Road subway is another route that takes you straight to the T.Nagar Bus Stand, but has narrow roads.

The Manthope Colony Cricket ground located near Manthope Colony has many unofficial sports clubs- one famous club is MCC (Manthope Cricket Club). This was founded by a group of dynamic youngsters - Kumar Balajii, Nagaraj, Saravanan, Sriram and Virendhar Sivaraman. There are more than 50 active members in this club thriving for the sprit of the game. There are many new members thriving for the goodness of the game & the community and one such addition is Girish.
LXG - League of eXtra-Ordinary cricketing Gentlemen is a sub group worty of mentioning. This group is lead by 3 legendary all-rounder - Nagaraj, Saravanan and Virendhar Sivaraman.The LXG primarily indulges in thinking & achieving the almost impossible.
