Tirusulam is a suburb of Chennai, India. Administratively, it is a census town in Kancheepuram district. It is located near the Chennai International Airport.

The township of Tirusoolam has its origin in the Tiruppurasundari Tirusoolanathar temple which is believed to have been constructed in the 12th century AD by Kulothunga I. The walls of the temple are inscribed with inscriptions from the Chola period.

As of 2001 India census[1], Tirusulam had a population of 5997. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Tirusulam has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 68%, and female literacy is 51%. In Tirusulam, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
