Fran Short is a kiwi biochemist currently livining in Auckland New Zealand.

Fran was born in Auckland, New Zealand, to a family of three children. On the night she was born (17 July 1986), the sky had magnificent aurora, followed by a dozen of fire work like supernova explosions, this phenomena was still unexplainable to date, some say it marks the birth of a remarkable woman. Fran's parents are both doctors. Fran has a older sister Juliet, who had a successful career as a lawyer, and a younger brother Tim, who is an engineer. Being the middle child, Fran respected her sister and took good care of her younger brother. The Short family moved to Hong Kong in 1990, and moved back to Auckland when Fran was 10. Fran's mum is a very kind woman, this had a strong influence in Fran's personality, Her mum taught her to be kind, helpful to people from the day she was born, and these good qualities had become gametic mutations which are probably inheretable. (the xcl gene which affect these qualities are located on X chromosomes, Fran's mutation has 27 GAC repeats inside this gene). As a kid, Fran was getting top mark in every subject she took at school, Fran is also a talented swimmer, and won many school competitions. "she was one of these kids that just clicks in everything", said Paris Hilton.

Fran went on to study at university of Otago in 2004. She studied piano and health science in her first year, and got in to medicine, although she later decided not to follow the family pidegree. she decided to take on biochemistry - the path to become a front runner of science. However it was during her piano study which she met her best friend - Jian Han, a multitalented man expert in pokemon training, sword fighting, biochemistry, and of course piano. The two prodigies were the youngest pupil Prof. Dennis had taught, and they both shown remarkable talents, although Fran was always the better player. Together Fran and Jian played a piece by Gershwin which had win them a oscar best music academy award. During Fran's second to third year at uni, fran taught piano as her part time job, as well getting A+ grades in her course. Fran is also helpful to everybody, even to grumpy girl Angela, who had always been chasing Fran's best friend Jian around. Many people simply worshiped Fran, for she is always the "Ms Know it all". During her 4th year of study, Fran was allocated to work in the Wilbank lab. Her supervisor Sigurd is also a remarkable man, with IQ of round 240. the Lab Next door, which Jian was allocated to work in, had two losers, Dan Garama (Grandma), Nick Fuckward. Dan is simplely a fat bin man, who somehow escaped and managing to get in to Uni, Nick is an arrogant racist, they pretended to be nice to fran because Fran is hot. -two hypocrits.

in 2007, Fran signed a $3m deal with Italian club AC milan, becoming the first woman playing for the club. Fran scored 5 goals in a game against Barcelona, and decided it was too easy, she decided to to some charity work after the game. "I would rather make the world a better place than being a celebrity sucking out money." said Fran.

Fran moved to Vietnam after the game against Barcelona, and helped kids learning English, as well as give love to the poor kids. she worked for 4 month in Vietnam, making great contribution to the society, and adding a few ticks on "Places I have been" list.

Now she is job hunting, many employers are fighting for her service, she is still deciding which job she will take. Alexandre Farto aka Vhils is only twenty. The fact that he is the youngest of the collective that carries out the VSP is not noteworthy in itself. But the fact that, in spite of his youth, he is the author of an already considerable amount of work in the world of art, is. In the street and in the gallery. Breaking barriers. He has, above all, efficiently managed to guarantee an effective transition and the conceptual connection between one world and the other. Taking on ideas and stances. His path has been the outcome of a progressive and systematic analysis, translated into an abundant creative practice, deeply rooted in consistent ideas. Endowed with a unique maturity, the writer has been working on the link between progress and the roots. Between the forefront and the origins. But with his feet on the ground. Firm on the ground. In the street, of course. In the urban environment.

At the age of ten his interest in graffiti was sparked. By way of friends, as a joke. When he was thirteen he took to it seriously. He earned respect in graff by being able to dominate the production on a private railway line close to where he lived, in Seixal. He wrote Hion back then. He painted trains on his own, most of the time in backjumps, in the ten minutes or less in which they changed lines or made a stop in a strategic spot. Through the recognition brought on by the trains, and due to the fact that he knew how and where to paint on this line, he met a great number of other writers from several places around greater Lisbon. He met Klit and the LEG Crew writers, who approached the “kid” so they could have access to these trains. But their friendship developed into a strong one.

With them he joined a group of crews created only for the purpose of illegal production, working on the suburban lines of Lisbon and surroundings. And with time, the hazardous night missions gave way to wall painting and the hall of fame. He started broadening his horizons. Towards the research and experimentation on new mediums, new techniques, new tendencies. He would finally be invited to join LEG on his 18th birthday, in 2005, and with them he tried to carry the work of convergence between street art and institutional art further. With VSP. “I remember well the remains of the murals and paintings of the 25th of April in the south-bank area. At the time they used to paint everywhere and not always artistically as in Lisbon, but straight pure messages – lettering and calligraphy. I remember wanting to bridge the gap between graffiti and those mural works, and later on between graffiti and gallery work.”

He grew up in the south-bank, in an area of recently implanted urbanism in a rural environment. Isolated urban progress. “There you could see the city arriving and taking over the space of the rural area. It was clear.” At the age of ten the family moved to the suburbs of Seixal, a few kilometres away. The contrast would mark him in several ways, and even today his work reflects a lot of this expansion of the urban environment and the sociological phenomena from there derived. He had access from early on to a strong cultural upbringing, which taught him to think in a non-formatted way and to develop his creativity. As a reflex against the hostility of the environment. He found a voice in graffiti. A weapon to use. And to develop.

In school, his art teacher would become determinant in his choice of path. She gave him incentive. When he finished high school he enrolled in Ar.Co and Restart, artistic and technical schools, where he attended part of the courses in graphic design and 2D/3D animation respectively. He quit both. He felt limited in the progression of knowledge. “At the time I started taking on more graffiti, design and illustration work, which granted me some security. The courses had been more to work up a good portfolio in order to try getting a placement in the art schools of Berlin or London.” Both the work and the contacts which he had made enabled him to establish his own platform for production. As in the street, he started spreading his name. And earning respect.

By way of the same teacher who had supported him in his pursuit of the arts, he met the designer Matilde Meireles, who worked in the reputed Vera Cortês art gallery. When first out of school, Vhils had already set about promoting his work with institutional galleries. “I had no notion whatsoever of anything! I made a mailing list with galleries from Lisbon and I sent them my portfolio. Four or five answered back. I called Matilde to ask her what she thought of those who had answered. She liked my work a lot and suggested I spoke to Vera Cortês.” From the other galleries he had received various answers, but all were unanimous in telling him he had to paint on canvas. “It was something I ambitioned; to be a graffiti artist and be called up by one of these galleries is good, but the way they treated me was as if I were something mechanical, I didn’t have much freedom.” And he wanted to paint on walls. Of course.

In the beginning of 2006 he started working with the Vera Cortês art gallery and agency. “There I had someone who knew and respected my work and knew what graff and stencils were, and with whom I was at ease. Without the basic prejudices.” He started out by creating a first installation, which would be well received. The work would be progressively developed and displayed in his series of exhibitions “Building 3 Steps”. At the same time he was brought in to the Who creative talents agency, who started promoting his work as an illustrator. Since then he has carried out a multiplicity of works in graphic and visual areas. Illustration, video, motion graphics, painting, decoration, graphic design, advertising, television. His name is looked upon as the next big thing in the Portuguese contemporary art scene. The interviews, promotional sessions, projects and more work have succeeded each other. But, apart from all the hype, he has kept his feet on the ground. In the urban environment, of course. In graff most of all.

“I carry out social work to compensate all the commercial work I do. I always try to take from one side to give to the other.” The social work projects which he has developed with his mates Mar and Ram, come in the sequence of the work that he started out a few years ago with the Khapaz association and the rapper Chullage, in rundown neighbourhoods. Resorting to urban arts as tools of strength, platforms for creativity which will allow the kids to find alternatives to the problematic environments where they live in.

“The idea was to get kids off the street and foster their interest in working in creative areas. In music, graff, photography, graphic design. To give them a space where they can learn and work their interests, having as base productive learning. From graffiti, for instance, you can guide their interest towards graphic design, drawing, screen-printing, other areas with more depth and professional possibilities.”

He is currently studying at Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design, in London, where he has been focusing on the development of artistic proposals connected to the concept of the ephemeral inherent to his work. The ephemeral which he brings from the street. In the convergence and continuity of one space with the other. Promoting street aesthetics as contemporary art. At the age of twenty. With his feet firm on the ground.

Dash Berlin is a new formed dance/trance act by Sebastiaan Molijn, Eelke Kalberg & Jeffrey Sutorius. The first two are better known as Pronti & Kalmani, the producers of Alice Deejay, one of the most succesful dance acts from the Netherlands.

Cake stock is a small festival in the North West of England, usually at an undisclosed location, that celebrates the creation and eating of cake. Founded in the early millenium, CakeStock attracts many people a year, all of whom bring cakes of various descriptions and sizes to enter in the competitions and participate in the celebrations.

The cakes that are submitted to CakeStock are a standard requirement and anyone who does not produce a cake for the event is subject to interview by the organisers as to the relevance and benefits of their presence without a cake which can result in either admittance or dismissal from the festival. Cakes that are submitted must also be edible and no smaller than 6 inches in diameter.

Entertainment is provided in the form of music by DJ's and through events in which cakestockers can participate. Cakes are also used for trading eg to taste a piece of another cake at the event you must subject your cakes to be tasted by others.

There are awards for the biggest cake, best cake, freestyle caking and winner or the cake roullete, which are the main highlights of the festival. The festival starts in the afternoon and continues until everyone has eaten to much cake.

The CAMBIO (CHANGE) campaign is a movement for democracy in Cuba supported mainly by the world youth, including those living in the island. CAMBIO members use white t-shirts, white bracelets, sings, etc. to demonstrate their support for democracy, freedom and human rights in Cuba.

CAMBIO started in 2005 as a pacific demonstration that expanded quickly among the youth. The word CAMBIO soon appeared in homes, gas stations, public transportation, public buildings and monuments. In addition, the campaign was feautured in numerous news reports and spawned similar efforts focusing on the theme of change. Even the officialist TV show Mesa Redonda dedicated an entire episode to cover the CAMBIO campaign.

Pobull Fhinn, spelt sometimes as "Poball Fhinn," "Pobul Fhinn," or "Pobuill Fhinn," is a stone circle on the Isle of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. This Gaelic name can be translated into English as "Finn's People," "Fingal's People," or "the White People." It is sometimes known locally as "Sornach Coir' Fhinn," or "the ring of Fingal's Furnace." The name is derived from the legendary hero Fionn mac Cumhaill.

Of the several stone circles on the island, Pobull Fhinn is the most conspicuous. It is located on the south side of Ben Langass, and it possibly dates from the second millennium BC.^[1] It is technically an oval rather than a circle, measuring about 120 feet from east to west and 93 feet from north to south. Although situated on a natural plateau, the north side of the enclosed area has been excavated to about four feet. At least two dozen stones can be counted, some eight on the northen half and 16 on the southern half, but parts of the cirle are devoid of stones. About four feet within the circle at the east side is a tall single stone, and there are two fallen slabs about seven feet beyond the western edge.

Pobull Fhinn is located at Map Ref NF 8427 6502 {{coord|57|33|52|N|7|16|57|W}}. It can be reached from a footpath beginning near the Langass Lodge Hotel. Alternatively, it can be reached from the footpath to Barpa Langass that starts from the A867 about five miles southwest of Lochmaddy; Barpa Langass is a 0.75-mile walk up Ben Langass from Pobull Fhinn. The jagged shapes of the stones silhouetted against Loch Langass, Loch Eport, and Eaval make Pobull Fhinn one of the most visited and most photographed sites on North Uist.

Charles Nègre (1820–1880) was a pioneering photographer born in Grasse, France. He studied under the painter Paul Delaroche before establishing his own studio on Quai Bourbon, Paris. His "Chimney-Sweeps Walking", an albumen print taken on that street in 1851, may have been a study for a painting, but is nevertheless considered important to photographic history for its being an early instance of an interest in capturing movement and freezing it forever in one moment.^[1] The interesting shapes in his 1852 photograph of buildings in Grasse have caused it to be seen as a precursor to art photography.^[2] In 1861, Nègre moved to Nice, where he made views and portraits for holiday makers. He died in Grasse in 1880.^[1]

History In 2007, Lanshack.com Ecommerce Superstore marked the milestone of 10 Years of Ecommerce Excellence, being the very first ecommerce site to sell cabling, connectivity and network components over the internet. They credit their success to the choices they had made during the years of the dot.com bust, and their defiance of the ‘brick and mortar’ buisness models. [1] President Anthony also known as Tony Casazza, began his career as an electrician, and later developed ATC Communications, his own structured cabling design, installation, and consulting firm. This later became Atcom Services, Inc. in 1991. In 1994, the firm became a corporate member of BICSI, and soon after established an in house RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification, which gave them the capacity to work hand in hand with architects in desgning pathways and systems for telecommunication and LAN cabling. In 1995, through their extensive contact base in the industry the company made a progression into distribution and manufacturing. They took this further in 1996 when Lanshack.com was created as a division of Atcom Services, and they became the first company in the structured cabling and connectivity industry to offer full ecommerce capability [2]. In 1998 they distinguished themselves by offering free online tutorials for people to learn how to install their own cabling, a practice that wasn’t commonplace in the 90’s decade.

Lanshack.com’s Inception One day while (President) Tony was working in the field wiring up a Cat 5e patch panel at a customer’s site, he took a moment to stand back and admire his neat workmanship. He realized that the cabling installation he had just installed was so eye appealing that he decided to take a picture and write an article, which he later submitted to the professional trade publication Cabling Business Magazine. His article was published, and he was sought after from that point on to write more professional trade articles. In lieu of monetary compensation, he was given free full page ads in the magazine as payment for his work, but was left with one quandary – what to advertise for? Due to the fact that at the time there was no vehicle for purchasing cabling supplies other than through traditional distribution channels, this presented an opportunity to Tony utilize the internet which he felt would be the future for all trade and commerce. Thinking along those lines with a little imagination and entrepreneurial sprit, the idea for LANshack.com was born. It was at that time that Tony decided to switch his focus from installing the cable, to selling to cable. Through its tenure on the web, LANshack.com has served customers in over 150 countries; the gamut of "Who's-Who" in business and government [3].

Technician Tool Kits In 2003, Lanshack.com introduced a line of Technician’s tool kits, and they were awarded the designation of “Editor’s Choice” in Cabling Business Magazine. The new product line was specifically designed with the installer in mind [4]. Through detailed interviews and focus groups with technicians and installers who work in the field, the team at Lanshack designed (nine) custom kits, each specifically geared towards accommodating different work habits, travel tendencies, and responsibilities [5]. It was a common consensus prior to this time that every other “tool kit” did not contain tools that installers actually wanted, and many felt that most manufacturers didn’t appeal to the technicians’ needs [6]. This new innovation gave the buyer exactly what they wanted and needed in a tool kit.

Chats Palace is a community arts centre in the Homerton area of Hackney, East London, offering theatre, live music, cabaret, children’s shows and classes.

Chats Palace was established in 1976 and has run performances and arts activities since that time in the building which was previously the former Homerton Library, also known as the Carnegie Library. The facade of the building, a spiral iron staircase and a glazed lantern are the only parts of the original building to survive and all three elements are Listed Grade II.

Chats Palace's outreach programmes have been aimed at individuals at the margins of society, using the arts to build skills and confidence.

Mo Ali (born in Berkshire, England) is a British writer and artist.

He is a fiction author, and has written for a number of publications including The Dream People, Bust Down the Door and Eat All the Chickens,The End Is Nigh , AccentUK, and more.

His artwork has been featured in numerous magazines, small press and online. Recent work includes ilustrations and a special edition bookplate design for 800 Years of Haunted Liverpool by John Reppion (also with illustrations by Declan Shalvey and others, The History Press, 2008).

He is a Pushcart Prize nominated writer.

Na Fir Bhreige (which can be translated from Gaelic into English as "The False Men") is a set of three standing stones on the Isle of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. They lie on the northwestern slope of Blashaval.

The stones are set almost in a line that runs WNW to ESE, nearly in alignment with the peaks of Blashaval and Maari. They protrude 0.7m, 0.5m, and 0.6m above the peat, although they are probably embedded very deeply and stood much higher when originally erected. They lie 21m and 35m apart.^[5]

The name derives from two local legends. One is that they mark the graves of three traitors who were buried alive. Another is that they are three men from Skye who deserted their wives and were turned to stone by a witch.{{cite book }} {{cite book }}

The stones are located at Map reference NF 8875 7176 ({{coord|57.627366|N|7.217072|W}}). They can be reached from the A865 about 3 miles northwest of Lochmaddy. One must then walk about a mile up Blashaval.

Jerome Robinson (Born 29th of September, 1978 in Toronto, Canada) is a Canadian professional basketball player at the shooting guard position, currently playing with France's Limoges CSP Elite, in the LNB. He stands 6'4" tall and weighs 200 pounds and had unsuccessful tryouts for the NBA, with the Toronto Raptors (2001). A former member of the Canadian Men's National 2001 were they participated in the World Qualifying Tournament finishing 3rd.

Jerome was a dominant player for the Bradley University Braves his senior year and led them to the NIT tournament two times, and currently ranks 4th in school history for most three points made in a single season at 84. Jerome was also picked to be inducted into the schools Team of the Decade Club for 1997-2000, Bradley named him Most Outstanding Athlete for 2001. He's been a Stalwart defender throughout his BU career.

In 2002 Jerome participated in Motion Capture for NBA Live 03 and EA Sports . In the 2003-2004 basketball season, he played for the Oberwart Gunners in Austria. Michael "Fame" Günther

Michael Günther, nicknamed "Fame", was a founding member of Agitation Free and is with the band Agitation Free up to now. Sideactivities i.e. with Heinz Lau, Group Vox concerning so-called "serious" music or Sopwith Camel concerning rock music. Toward the end of Agitation Free he founded the bands Lagoona and Bo Fame & Friends with Gustav Lütjens, Manfred "Manne" Opitz and Konstantin "Bommi" Bommarius. Also worked with Harald Großkopf, Lou Blackburn , Klaus Henrichs and others. "Hung-up" his bass in 1977, playing only occasionally with friends in hobby bands. One has been a "Garage Band" with the funny name Johnny Soap & The Bathrooms. They only had one but important gig for the Jubilee of the Berlin Kant Kino which in the 80`s has been one of the most important venues for Rock Music in Berlin. This Band consistet of illustre People of the Berlin Scene like: Günther "Jim" Rakete (g) photographer and Manager of Nena and Nina Hagen (Fame worked for her as a Roadie for years), photographer Jürgen Pittak (g), the former owner of Kant Kino Konrad "Conny" Konzak (voc), Heiner Schwer (keyb), former Roadie of Klaus Schulze, Tom Hildebrandt, ex - Metropolis (dr), Alfred Rogacki, PA-company owner (g) and Fame (b). Since that days he has a matching project all 2-3 years. Today he works intensively with computers and programming (has programmed the CD-ROM you are presently using), and is a consultant in the field of rock and pop music, touring, and related background subjects. Technical director of the Berlin Jazz Festival Berliner "Jazzfest" for nearly thirtyfive years.
