Yuri Maximov, born 8 December 1968 in Kherson, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union, is a former footballer and Ukraine international. Maximov, a midfielder, has had stints at SC Tavriya Simferopol, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Dynamo Kyiv, before transferring to SV Werder Bremen and SV Waldhof Mannheim in Germany. The footballer later returned to Russia and Ukraine to finish his career at FC Rostov and FC Metalurh Zaporizhzhya. During his career, Maximov has amassed 27 international caps representing Ukraine, while scoring 5 goals.
