There is not enough information to warrant a higher rating in either category. This article needs expansion or should be a candidate for AfD. SkipperClipper

[edit] History Section

The following paragraph is inaccurate: "York High School was constructed in 1954 as the public school for the white children of the area, with the York Middle School for the black children of the area during segregation. [citation needed]"

Black students, prior to the desegregation of York High School, attended James Weldon Johnson. The school that was James Weldon Johnson was renamed York Intermediate School, then eventually renamed York Middle School. Sorry-- I don't have dates on the name changes and there's a possibility that there was a different name in between James Weldon Johnson and York Intermediate School. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 20.5.182.88 (talk) 20:59, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

The second paragraph of this section appears to be personal commentary. Information regarding renovation would seem better suited to the facts, not summarized opinions unbacked by statistical data. Furthermore, the renovation is now complete. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SkipperClipper (talkcontribs) 02:33, 29 March 2007 (UTC).

I have removed the paragraph. There was nothing in the paragraph that was worthy of publishing.Chrisfortier 17:46, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Yhs3.gif

Image:Yhs3.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
