WSVG-AM is a Standards/Big Band formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Mount Jackson, Virginia.

WSVG signed on in 1953 as WSIG with a country format. WSIG was owned by the Lewis Family (owners of WINC-AM/FM til 2007) for many years and was considered the "farm team" of WINC-AM.
WSIG-AM would remain popular until the late 80s when WSIG-FM was launched. Many listeners moved over to the FM station and WSIG-AM made a change. WSIG-AM became WSVG, which at the time, stood for Shenandoah Valley Gold, and began playing oldies.
In 1991, the oldies would give way to religion, the calls would remain the same, but now meant Shenandoah Valley Gospel. Religion would only last two years on WSVG. In 1993, WSVG would once again by simulcasting sister WSIG.
During 1988, WSIG-AM and WSIG-FM were sold to Tuschedy Broadcasting and began simulcasting Tuschedy owned WSKO (now WBOP and now on 95.5) as "Super Country". It was an effort to compete with country powerhouses WUSQ in Winchester and WKCY in Harrisonburg but it wasn't to last.
By 1992, WSKO switched to Hot Adult Contemporary, while WSIG-AM/FM remained country.
In 2002, sister WSIG-FM was sold to Vox Communications, though WSVG remained locally-owned. In August of 2003, Woodstock, Virginia station WAMM-AM began simulcasting on WSVG as "Retro Radio". In November 2004, WAMM-AM owner Hometown Broadcasting bought WSVG for $85,000 and moved WSVG's operations to Downtown Woodstock, Virginia.
In May of 2005, WAMM-AM went silent due to severe money problems, and WSVG was again sold to Hometown Broadcasting of Mount Jackson and is now on the air from their old Mount Jackson location.
