World Network of Biosphere Reserves

The World Network of Biosphere Reserves was established at the International Conference on Biosphere Reserves in Seville in 1995.

This complete list of biosphere reserves is from the UNESCO Web site (as of October 26, 2005).

Map showing the World Network of Biosphere Reserves as of 2007: red (countries with more than 35 sites), orange (at least 20, less than 35), yellow (at least 15, less than 20), green (at least 10, less than 15), blue (at least 5, less than 10) and violet (at least 1, less than 5). Note: transboundary sites have been redistributed among the concerned countries for the locator map, hence, have been counted multiple times.
